Graham Potter delivered his verdict on Michailo Modric’s performance on his Chelsea debut against Liverpool on Saturday.
Chelsea brought Modric from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of around £89m in January.
The Ukraine international started the match from the bench in the 55th minute.
The winger brought the game to life with loads of energy, good running, good passing and great decision-making and was unlucky not to find the net on his debut.
Asked about the 22-year-old’s performance against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, the England manager said: “He hasn’t played football for a while, he’s been on a break mid-season.
“We had to manage his minutes, but you can see his quality.”
