Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has criticized Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly for his performances so far this season.
The Senegalese international, who joined the Blues from Napoli club Napoli, signed a deal in the region of £33m last summer.
Chelsea had to sign Coulibaly, the African Cup of Nations’ top performer, after leaving the likes of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger on free transfers.
He was signed with Thiago Silva at the heart of the Blues defence, but while Silva continued to display his impressive quality well into the age of 37, Koulibaly struggled to achieve the form he often brought to Napoli.
“They look weak in midfield, weak up front. If it weren’t for Thiago Silva, I would say they are poor at the back,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“Kalidou Koulibaly – I don’t know what they saw in him. Because I think he’s miles away from her. The rest, I’m not convinced at all. Average blast.”
