Premier League: I love watching them play – Carragher reveals his desire to win the title
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has admitted he wants to see Arsenal win the Premier League title this season.
Mikel Arteta’s men reached the top of the league in 2023, seven points ahead of Manchester City in second place.
Arsenal, who narrowly missed out on the top four last season, have not won the league since the 2003/04 campaign.
But Carragher is backing them to do so this year.
He said: “I would like to see Arsenal win the Premier League.
“Look at the start of the season they had: one defeat, one draw and they won the rest – and that defeat they didn’t deserve to lose.
“It’s good to see a different team there, a different story. I really like what Mikel Arteta has done.
“I love watching his team push. They’re young players, they have a lot of energy, it’s exciting and fast. When they’re on TV, you want to watch them. I’d like them to keep doing that.”
Arsenal hosts Newcastle next Tuesday, while Manchester City hosts Chelsea on Thursday.
