Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek says he is disappointed that the season is over for him.
Van de Beek has successfully operated on his injury and is now hoping for a speedy recovery.
The United manager said at a press conference to preview Old Trafford’s much-anticipated clash with rivals Manchester City that he was close to being walked out.
The playmaker took to Twitter to thank fans and his family for their sweet messages and encouragement.
He wrote: “I am very disappointed that the season has come to an end for me. After the successful surgery, it is time to start the recovery process and I will do my best to come back strong for this club. Thank you all for the lovely messages, they mean a lot to me and my family.”
