Premier League: It’s not easy – Rio Ferdinand defends Manchester United defender after criticism from Kane

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has jumped to the defense of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka amid criticism from club legend Roy Keane.

Wan-Bissaka has come under fire for failing to deal with the threat that allowed Arsenal to score his first goal during Man United’s 3-2 Premier League loss to Mikel Arteta’s side at the weekend.

Eddie edged past Nketiah Wan-Bissaka to open the scoring for Arsenal against Erik ten Hag’s side with a superb header at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

In response to the setback, he slammed Kane Wan-Bissaka for his lack of “consciousness” leading up to the goal, and insisted the former Crystal Palace star was “dozing off”.

Speaking of development, Ferdinand, writing in his Vibe with Five Podcast, defended Wan-Bissaka.

Ferdinand said, “This [Arsenal’s first goal] It is all about awareness and seeing that bigger picture and that comes from the delegates in training.

“For Aaron Wan-Bissaka and all the defenders, it’s really hard to master, by the way. The way the guys were talking about it yesterday was easy. It’s not easy. That’s one of the ways 33-year-olds aren’t picked at the end. their career when they are supposed to know it again.”
