Premier League: It’s sadly over – Patrice Evra regrets the way Ronaldo handled Manchester United
Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has lamented the treatment of Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo during his second spell at Old Trafford.
Remember, Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
His departure follows an explosive interview with British journalist, Piers Morgan, in which he lashes out at the Red Devils, among others.
But Evra believes it is sad the way Ronaldo left the club.
“I don’t know if it was the best decision, but I think the club is happy, and Cristiano [Ronaldo] Glad it was a difficult situation,” Evra told Amazon Prime.
“Let’s not forget what Cristiano has achieved for the club. He is one of the greatest players to ever play for Manchester United and it is sad the way it has ended.”
