Premier League: Miles away, I was wrong about Liverpool and Manchester United – Paul Scholes admitted

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes admitted he was wrong about the credentials of Liverpool and the Red Devils earlier this season.

Liverpool and Manchester United face each other in the English Premier League match on Sunday night at Anfield.

But Scholes has now revealed he was wrong to regard Jurgen Klopp’s side as title contenders this season, adding that Man United were miles behind Premier League arch-rivals last season.

There’s no chance (because he expects Manchester United to be ten points ahead of Liverpool compared to their defeat at Anfield twelve months ago), the former England midfielder told Premier League Productions.

“Working the game into the night. The teams were miles away.”

He continued, “I was a little surprised by Liverpool’s season. I was actually here thinking that Liverpool have a great chance of winning the league this year. I was very wrong.”
