Premier League: Patrick Vieira expects club to win title of the season, pays tribute to Arsenal

Crystal Palace coach Patrick Vieira predicted that Arsenal would win the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal performed well against Aston Villa at the weekend, Vieira said, adding that this season’s Premier League title is theirs to lose.

Arsenal currently sits at the top of the Premier League table, two points ahead of Man City, who sit in second place.

But Mikel Arteta’s team has a game in hand.

“I think the Premier League title is Arsenal’s loss, to be honest with you,” Vieira, the former Arsenal and Man City midfielder, told William Hill.

“I think Arsenal put in a really good performance against Aston Villa on Saturday to come close with a 4-2 win at Villa Park. They are in a really good place at the moment, and they have a lot of confidence.

“But I still think Manchester City will chase Arsenal until the last day of the Premier League season. But I think losing the title is Arsenal.”
