According to The Sun, former PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is already waiting for Potter’s sack to be announced so he can step in.
The Argentine is open to replacing the Englishman who is on fire at Stamford Bridge.
Potter is currently under immense pressure with Chelsea dropping to 10th in the Premier League.
The Blues were on fire during Potter’s early days at Stamford Bridge after he replaced Thomas Tuchel but results dipped ahead of the World Cup.
The Sun reports that the Blues hierarchy is already considering the future of the former Brighton boss.
They only expect the 47-year-old to turn things around in the remaining days of January.
The report claimed that Pochettino, the former Tottenham boss, is waiting in the wings if Chelsea are in the market for a new manager.
Pochettino coached Tottenham and Southampton at different times in the English Premier League.
The report says Pochettino would be willing to take over at Chelsea because he already owns a home in London and spends a lot of time in the English capital.
