Premier League: Referee Chris Kavanagh has been accused of helping Arsenal beat Bournemouth

Sports pundits Richard Keyes and Andy Gray questioned the referee in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

They feel the referee deliberately allotted more time to allow the Gunners to score the late winner.

Arsenal should not have had a chance of snatching a dramatic win if the referee had not extended injury time.

Arsenal appeared poised to drop by at least two points after Bournemouth stunned them at the Emirates Stadium, leading 2-0.

But Arsenal came back through Thomas Partey, Ben White and a dramatic Reese Nelson winner in the 97th minute.

Sports presenter Keys asked why Arsenal had the chance to score in the 97th minute after adding just six minutes into injury time.

“I was asking about the goal time as I played 97 minutes. I think Bournemouth will have reason to think, ‘Where did you find that time?’ The referee will have reason.

Andy Gray added: “There were six extra minutes, you could see that in the top corner, and we were just getting close to the 98th minute when Reese Nelson scored.”
