Premier League: Stop whining – Ten Hag attacks Man United stars for saying ‘it’s too hot to play football’
Erik ten Hag told a Manchester United player to “stop whining” ahead of their defeat by Brentford earlier in the season.
The players were said to have complained about playing in the heat before the match.
Ten Hag suffered a defeat at home to Brighton in Manchester United’s opening Premier League game of the season, and followed that up with a 4-0 defeat away to Brentford.
The Times reported that the Dutch coach was not happy with the attitude of some of his players before the match.
He reprimanded the person who complained that “playing football is too hot”.
The former Ajax boss said earlier this month that he was unhappy with the morale among the Red Devils.

“The mental toughness was very low. The fighting spirit, for each other, and prioritizing the team, it wasn’t really on this team. Changing the culture was the most important thing for me.”
