Premier League: Ten Hag demanded Bruno Fernandes’ captaincy be stripped after 7-0 defeat by Liverpool

Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton has asked Manchester United manager Eric ten Hag to take the captain’s armband off Bruno Fernandes following their 7-0 defeat by Liverpool on Sunday.

Fernandes was criticized for his behavior during the match at Anfield.

This includes asking Ten Hag to take him off during United’s game run.

“Whatever you think of Harry Maguire, the club captain, you wouldn’t catch him acting like that on the pitch. Ten Hag dealt with the problem of Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Now he needs to deal with Fernandes, starting with deciding whether he deserves to wear the armband for Thursday’s Europa League match with Real Betis,” Sutton wrote in the Daily Mail column.
