Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that Erik ten Hag “provoked” him and pushed him off during the match against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 37-year-old made the claim in the second part of his interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV, which was broadcast in the UK on Thursday.
Ronaldo also said he felt disrespected by Ten Hag after the Dutchman refused to play him against Manchester City and then decided to play him for three minutes against Tottenham.
“You don’t put me up against Man City out of respect for my career, and you want to put me up for three minutes against Tottenham?
“It makes no sense. I think he did it on purpose. I felt provoked not only because of that match but before that.
“He doesn’t respect the way I should have him. But that’s what he is. That’s probably why I left the game against Tottenham,” Ronaldo said.
