Manchester United manager Eric ten Hag has asked striker Marcus Rashford to improve his focus on scoring goals for the Red Devils.
Rashford has scored four goals in four matches for Man United since the resumption of domestic leagues in England after the end of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The England international has scored goals against Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Bournemouth and Burnley.
Speaking ahead of Friday’s FA Cup third-round clash with Everton, Ten Hag feels Rashford can improve if he follows his advice.
“First of all, always stay focused, and it doesn’t matter if you’re in the game or not, stay focused on scoring the goal,” Ten Hag said of Rashford in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“A player like Marcus but the others in our squad – Anthony Martial is the same – when they stay in the game, mentally, focused, 100 per cent focused, they have the skills and they only need one moment to change the game in a positive way.
“If he develops that skill, he will score more goals and contribute to a successful season.”
