Premier League: Wayne Rooney measures Manchester United’s chances of winning the league title
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney refused to rule out the possibility of the Red Devils winning the English Premier League this season, ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City.
Rooney also praised manager Erik ten Hag’s influence at Manchester United so far this season.
Man United currently ranks third on the English Premier League table, with three points behind Man City and five points behind leaders Arsenal.
“he [Ten Hag] It’s exactly what Manchester United have needed for a few years now,” Rooney told ESPN.
“I’ve been to the training ground a few times, especially on [MLS] Off season when I came home to England and spoke to quite a few players.
“I know the players enjoy working under him [Ten Hag]which is always important, but he demands a lot from his players.
“I think it’s the mentality and the confidence and belief of the players, that they’re actually a good team, and I think people are starting to see that this season is in good shape.
“They separate themselves from the lead by five points, you know there [are] There are still a lot of games to go. So you never know. “
