People’s Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won the presidential election in Bayelsa state.
Atiku outperformed his Labor counterpart Peter Obi. and at the All Progressives Congress, APC, Paula Tinubu.
ATICO won five of the eight LGAs with 68,818; Obi received 50,076 votes, while Tinubu received 42,572 votes.
The results were announced by Professor Lillian Salami, Country Coordinating Officer and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin.
