Presidential Election: Obi’s outing shows presence of polls on Twitter – Air Minister, Sirica
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said today, Monday, that the performance of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labor Party, certainly showed the presence of ballots on social media, especially Twitter.
Sirica said Obi would not have performed as well as he did during the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday if Twitter had not been so important to electoral propaganda.
The minister stated this in a tweet on his Twitter account.
I think it is wrong to say that there are no ballot boxes on Twitter. There really is such a huge one.
“If nothing, Obi wouldn’t have made it this far. Social media is the biggest influencer of opinions after good works. Good work plus social media means victory.”
The Daily Post reports that the other main contenders in the presidential election are Paula Tinubu of the APC, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and Rabio Musa Kwankwaso of the National Progressive Party.
