Presidential election: Peter Obi will regain his mandate – Ohanaise
Ohanaeze Ndigbo confirmed that Labor Party, LP, presidential candidate Peter Obi would recover his stolen mandate in court.
Obi came third in the 2023 presidential election behind Atiku Abubakar of the HDP, and the winner Paula Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In response to the election result, Obi rejected the election result, confirming his victory in the poll.
He vowed to challenge Tinubu’s victory in the election court.
In response, Ohanaeze’s National Publicity Secretary Alex Ogbonnia said the main Igbo organization was willing to move forward with Obi in his endeavors to regain his state.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Ogbonya stressed that Nigerians believe in Obi.
According to Ogbonnia: “I have confidence in it because when he was denied his victory sometime in Anambra State, he struggled and assured people that he would get it back. Later, he took back that mandate. In the same way it’s like history repeats itself.”
“Anyone who knows Peter Obi will know that he is always sure of what he does. He is aware of any situation or decision he makes.
“He is not a frivolous man or a man who makes decisions anyway. He does a thorough review of his decisions before they are published.”
