France became the first country to qualify for the Round of 16 in the 2022 World Cup.
Kylian Mbappe scored a brace in the defending champions’ 2-1 win over Denmark on Saturday.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward opened the scoring just after the hour mark, after putting in an impressive brace with Theo Hernandez.
But the Danes equalized with an Andreas Christensen header.
Mbappe then grabbed the winning goal late in the game, turning in Antoine Griezmann’s cross to ensure France kept their record 100% goal in Qatar.
The 23-year-old is now the tournament’s top scorer and also has 31 goals for France, level with Zinedine Zidane on the list of all-time scorers in the country’s history.
Didier Deschamps’ men lead Group D with six points, three ahead of second-placed Australia, while Denmark are yet to win their first by just one point after two matches.
