Actress and former housemate, older brother Naija, Rachel Edward Akwe, has launched her latest project, ‘Mist’. The short film was screened today, 9 November 2022, at the ongoing eleventh edition of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF). The audience was able to watch the short film for the first time at the ongoing Film Festival.
“mistIt offers a unique perspective on gender-based violence, and shows the untold story of this important issue. Unlike most projects that often focus on one aspect, the short film shows the complexities of domestic violence between women and men.
With Rachel as the lead actress, the film features Silva Nkocha as the male lead, who is also named after the producer. Produced by Silver Line, the short film was written by Nika Anolo and directed and edited by Richmond Amici.
The Fog is one of the African films selected to be screened at the International Festival scheduled to be held from November 6-11, 2022.
