Manchester United revealed, on Friday, that the club had begun steps in its striker Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
Man United revealed this in a statement via their website.
Ronaldo had attacked Manchester United and their manager, Erik ten Hag, during an interview with Morgan.
The 37-year-old said the Red Devils had betrayed him and that he had no respect for Ten Hag.
“Manchester United this morning took appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview,” the statement read.
“We will not be making further comments until this process has come to a close.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is currently with the Portuguese national team at the World Cup in Qatar this year.
