Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom congratulated former Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki on his 60th birthday, describing him as a good manager of human and material resources.
In a goodwill message released Monday by Chief Press Secretary Nathaniel Ekeure, the governor hurled questions at Saraki for his steadfastness in promoting the nation’s democratic ideals.
He described Saraki as a great political leader and an advocate of democracy who works hard for the sustainability of democracy in Nigeria.
Ortom also noted that Saraki has consistently shown goodwill and leadership over the years, saying “He believes in a united Nigeria with equal opportunities for all citizens.
He said, “As Governor of Kwara State, Saraki has shown ability and competence. As President of the Senate, he has taken the nation as his constituency. From these antecedents, he has proven himself to be a good manager of human and material resources.”
The Governor emphasized that the government and people of Benue State are proud of Saraki’s achievements over the years.
Ortom prayed for a brighter political future for Saraki even as he advised him to be steadfast and stay focused in the years to come.
He wished Saraki good health, wisdom and more courage in the years to come.
