The Sokoto State Police Command presented the suspects on Tuesday.
Sokoto State Police Commissioner, Mohamed Gomel explained that on Sunday, December 4, 2022, Ahad Suleiman Musa in the State Criminal Investigation Department reported that unknown persons had conspired and kidnapped his seven-year-old son, Musa Suleiman, and held him for four days. capturing.
According to the Commissioner of Police: “Suleiman Musa was reported to have told the police that he had paid N4m as a ransom before the boy was released.”
Based on the police investigation, Hallero Riscua, better known as Lupetti, a neighbor of the family, was later arrested.
Police Commissioner Jomel alleged that Haliro Riscua had committed the crime along with Abdullah Omar and Farruko Usman Benji. While Omar has been arrested and is in police custody, Benji is still at large.
To date, N2.5 million in ransom has been recovered from the suspects.
