The head of the Independent National Elections Commission, Mahmoud Yacoubou, said that 93,469,008 voters are included in the 2022 general election register.
In a meeting with 18 political parties in Abuja on Wednesday, Yakubu revealed that 44,414,846 registered voters were female and 49,054,162 were male.
While the number of youth between 18 and 34 years of the total registered voters reached 37,060,399, representing 39.65% of the total registered voters. In contrast, the number of senior citizens between the ages of 50 and 69 reached 17,700,270 representing 18.94% of all registered voters.
According to him, every other arrangement is on high alert, including the distribution of permanent voter cards (PVCs).
The chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission said while presenting the register of voters; The Commission succeeded in achieving 11 out of 14 activities scheduled for the 2023 general elections.
