While the plaintiff asks the court to direct the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify Senator Magnus Abe for her alleged dual candidacy, she also wants the court to disqualify Ngboawaji Augustus as a state assembly candidate and restore her ticket as the party’s legitimate candidate.

When the case came before the court on Tuesday, one of the defendant’s attorneys informed the court of the difficulties encountered in performing the service and requested a short reprieve to enable him to respond and serve the proceedings.

The presiding judge, Emmanuel Obele, advised, after hearing the lawyers, to ensure an efficient exchange of services and to postpone the hearing until January 12, 2023 to prove the service and the full adoption of all procedures.
