The Ogun So-Safe Corps captures a farmer to snatch Okada at gunpoint

The Ogun state-owned So-Safe Corps has arrested a suspected armed robber, Mr. Oladele Simon, for allegedly hijacking a motorbike, known as an Okada, at gunpoint.

This was stated by the So-Safe Corps spokesperson, Morov Yusuf, in a statement issued by the Office of the State Commander, Soji Ganzalo.

According to Youssef, around 3 a.m. Thursday, Okada’s Ifonyintedo rider reported to the Corps that his bike had been carted away at gunpoint.

He said that the case was immediately transferred to the necessary department in the wire.

“By working on the description of the motorcycle and the suspect, the team was able to apprehend the suspect of the crime, Mr. Oladele Simon, a 48-year-old farmer, residing in Ashipa-Ikorodu in the Ipokia Local Government Area,” Yusuf said.

The Daily Mail reports that Commander Gonzalo transferred the suspect, the stolen red Bajaj bike and a home-made pistol to the police in Idiroko for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo called on Okada’s commuters and commuters to always prioritize their own security and safety while on the road.

Charge them with caution and vigilance throughout their journey.

The corps commander also advised riders to watch out and stop using phones while on the bike, saying it would help keep an eye on riders, should any funny behavior occur.
