The police confirm the kidnapping of two farmers in Osun

The Osun State Police Command confirmed the kidnapping of two farmers, Samuel Oladuton and Fachula Tubiloba.

The Daily Post has learned that both farmers were kidnapped by some unidentified men in Ele-Ogbo, Ola-Ulua local government area of ​​the state on Thursday.

Yemisi Obalola, a spokesperson for the command, revealed that the police were already working on the development.

She also confirmed that this development will solve and save the victims.

A reliable security source, who spoke anonymously, also revealed that the victims and seven others were returning from their farms in a bus when their vehicle was attacked along Oki-Uson district of Elugbo on Wednesday night.

Six of the victims were collected and managed to escape but three of them were caught and taken to an unknown location by the kidnappers.

While the victims were being removed, another escaped, leaving two others in the custody of the captives.

The relatives of one of the victims received a phone call from the kidnappers this afternoon. They requested a sum of N10 million for their release. Police and members of the Nigerian Forestry and Security Service comb the bush in the area.

When they called, the kidnappers spoke in a language we don’t understand. It’s not English, but they mentioned the amount they wanted as a ransom.”

He also revealed that personnel from the Osun Amotekun Corps were involved in the search.

The pair’s kidnapping marks the first recorded kidnapping in Osun in 2023.
