The Portuguese player reveals the handshake scenes between Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez

Benfica and Portuguese national team midfielder Joao Mario has responded to rumors about the crisis between captain Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes.

Yesterday, Monday, videos of Bruno Fernandes showing angry expressions and a lukewarm handshake with Cristiano Ronaldo went viral, after the latter allegedly attacked Manchester United and their manager Ten Hag.

Joao Mario asked him the question at the press conference today, Tuesday, and he replied: “Bruno was joking with Cristiano, I was in the dressing room and I watched everything.”

He added that “Bruno Fernandez arrived late to the camp, so Cristiano Ronaldo joked with him that he came by boat, Bruno responded with sharp lines, but he was joking.”

He concluded by saying, “This issue did not go beyond a joke, both of them love each other, everyone’s relationship in the national team is in order.”

The Portuguese national team will start the World Cup on November 24 by facing Ghana in Group H, which includes Uruguay and South Korea.
