The Home Office denied dates allegedly circulating on the Internet as the official dates for the Christmas holidays.
In a statement to the DAILY POST on Saturday, Director of Press and Public Relations Afunga Fatai Ajibola denied the rumor allegedly attributed to the ministry regarding the declaration of public holidays for Christmas.
“The Home Office would like to state categorically that the rumored story is not true, as the Federal Government has yet to officially declare a public holiday,” he said.
He advised members of the public to ignore the circulating statement as fake news and wait for an official public announcement on the issue in the next few days.
