Tinubu secures the Court of Appeal’s order to examine the presidential election materials
The Abuja Court of Appeal on Wednesday night granted permission to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, direct access to the Independent National Elections Commission (INEC) server to inspect all materials used in the February 25 presidential election.
The court, in a ruling on an ex parte request by Tinubu, ordered the Electoral College to allow the president-elect to make photocopies of documents during an inspection.
Sentencing Judge Joseph Ekwig said he was convinced there was merit in Tinubu’s request to access, examine and make a copy of the required documents for whatever purpose.
Justice Eckwig asserted that the President-elect is entitled to access INEC’s server as well as make scans to use to defend his election against any petition.
