Professor Mahmoud Yagoubou, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, announced earlier on Wednesday that the CPC Tinubu presidential candidate won the 2023 presidential election and elected president.
Before the results were announced, the HDP, HDP, and Workers’ Party alleged irregularities in the classification of the results by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Opposition parties also called for the annulment of the election results and Yacoubou’s resignation.
After the celebrations following Tinubu’s victory, Keyamo urged his fellow party supporters not to mock opponents in their celebrations.
Keyamo wrote on Twitter on Wednesday: “While we celebrate, we must do so without criticizing our great national opponents.
“After all the barbs during the campaigns, it’s time to embrace ourselves for nation building. At the end of the day, we all mean good to our country, albeit from different perspectives.”
