Former hardline leader, government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo denied making any comments about the outcome of the 2023 presidential election in an alleged viral video online where he was quoted praising the election result.
Tombolo spoke through his media advisor, Dr. Paul Pepenemibo, in a signed statement made available to reporters.
doctor . “For the avoidance of doubt, Tombolo has not made any such video,” Bibenimibo said in the statement.
He said the alleged video of the 2023 general election was “fake”.
According to Dr Bipenembo, “The attention of the Chief Government of the Supreme Government Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo, was brought to the attention of an alleged viral video in the 2023 general elections, in which some online media outlets quoted him praising the election result.
He also indicated that he “is not an enemy to any of the presidential candidates, as well as to the candidates for the position of governor.”
According to Dr. Bebenimibo, “He (Tompolo) is a friend to all. Hence, he has never asked anyone to use his name to publicize in favor of any of the candidates.”
