Transfer: Arsenal are in talks to sign two Barcelona strikers after missing out on Modric

Arsenal have contacted Barcelona to explore deals for two of their strikers, Rafinha and Ferran Torres, reports 90 Minutes.

Arsenal were keen to sign Rafinha last summer when he was still at Leeds.

But the Brazilian eventually chose to move to Spain to fulfill his dream of playing for Barcelona.

Arsenal missed out on Mykhailo Modric this month, after Chelsea agreed to pay his €100m asking price.

Their sporting director, Edu, has now arrived in Barcelona as he shops across Europe for possible alternatives.

Rafinha and Torres were both discussed, with Arsenal understood to have held exploratory talks on a number of possible replacements for Modric.

Now, with their first goal headed elsewhere, Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in their other targets to finally address their limited depth in wide locations.
