Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has paid tribute to Arsenal winger, Mykhailo Modric.
It is only a matter of time before Arsenal announce the signing of Modric from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The winger is Mikel Arteta’s first target in the January transfer window, with the north London side making two appearances in recent weeks.
Modric is desperate to join Arsenal with reports suggesting the player has already verbally agreed a five-year deal.
“He will join the club,” said Sagna to Lord Byng.
“I saw him for the first time in 2020, when he wasn’t in the Shakhtar first team – I think it was a Ukrainian under-20 game.
“I loved the way he plays. He has great agility and you can definitely tell he’s a good player. Technically speaking, he’s very good and his speed is intimidating – like he can fly. He’s quick with the ball.”
