Manchester United are in talks to sign Wott Wighurst on loan from Burnley.
Wighorst, who scored two goals against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup, is currently on loan for this season at Besiktas in Turkey.
But that could end after he emerged as an option for United manager Erik ten Hag.
United are exploring loan possibilities this month with their January finances limited.
Wighorst has scored 10 goals in 20 appearances for club and country this season, including one against Kasimpasa on Saturday.
The 6ft 6in striker waved to the crowd as if to say goodbye after his goal.
Ten Hag is looking to add to his attacking options after the club canceled Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in November.
