Transfer: The Chelsea winger has been asked to leave Stamford Bridge

Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has been asked to leave Stamford Bridge.

The winger was asked to move to Manchester United because of coach Erik ten Hag.

The Moroccan has left the billing at Stamford Bridge since his £33m move from Ajax in the summer of 2020.

Ziyech has scored just 14 goals in 92 appearances for Chelsea, and has started just one Premier League game this season.

He was Morocco’s shining light in Qatar, helping them qualify for the quarter-finals, where they will face Portugal.

Former Moroccan midfielder Mustapha El Haddaoui wants the winger to join Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.

“He needs to leave Chelsea and go to Manchester United, because the former Ajax coach,” El Haddaoui told Stats Performance and Corriere dello Sport. [Erik ten Hag] wanted him.

“He will return, but he needs to leave Chelsea during the winter transfer window.”
