U-20 Africa Cup of Nations: Bosu is confident Flying Eagles will beat Uganda
Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosu is optimistic about his team’s chances against Uganda on Thursday.
The seven-time champions will face Hippos in the quarter-final match of the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.
Bossu’s side started the competition on a disappointing note losing 1-0 to the Senegal Cubs.
But the Flying Eagles bounced back and scored convincing victories over hosts Egypt and Mozambique.
Their next match against Uganda will be even more competitive with a place in the semi-finals and a FIFA U-20 World Cup spot at stake.
Bossu stated that his players are working hard in training to ensure victory over Uganda.
“We are aware that Nigerians are looking forward to us. While it is still our job to buy a World Cup ticket, we are also looking forward to the cup, which is still a number of matches away,” Bossu told thenff.com.
“For the moment, we have Uganda in our view and we are working hard to see that we have control over the measures on Thursday.”
