Uybangi Signs N122.6bn Ekiti 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Bill To Become Law

Governor Biodun Uybangi has signed Supplementary Appropriations Bill N122,669,039,657.27 Ekiti State 2022 into law.

Governor Uibangi, while signing the appropriation bill in the Executive Chamber of Ado-Ekiti, expressed his excitement at doing his first legislative job in the state.

He pointed out, while speaking about the legislative crisis in the House of Representatives, that the parliament in the state has the ability to solve its internal crisis, noting that democracy allows for a crisis to occur, but the interest of the state must be above all interest. .

Uibangi praised the elders and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their swift resolve to put the crisis behind them.

However, he appealed to non-members of the GPC to leave the party alone, saying that the crisis had been resolved.

He called on lawmakers to see that before the end of the year, deliberations on a proper 2023 budget should be discussed and ready for signature.

Earlier, the speaker, Rt. presence. Olubunmi Adelugba said: “It is truly an epoch-making event. This supplementary budget demonstrates the governor’s determination to place high importance on accountability, integrity and transparency in government spending.”

Adelojba said the recent unfortunate family skirmishes at home have been put to rest.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor, Ms. Monisad Afoy, SSG, HoS, Assembly Clerk, Mr. Yemi Esan, legislators and senior government officials.
