We can no longer vote for poverty – Peter Obi

Labour’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has said Nigerians can no longer vote for poverty, corruption and impunity.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Obi said the desire to take Nigeria back was almost unanimous.

While noting the fact that he is used to the old system, Obi said he would like to be president to change course.

The former Anambra state governor emphasized that deprivation is not a habit, saying Nigerians desire a better life.

“The desire to take Nigeria back almost unanimously. We may be accustomed to the old regime; but we cannot vote for the continuation of corruption, recklessness, impunity and poverty. Deprivation is not a habit. Nigerians desire a better life,” he said.

Obi further assumed that Nigerians could no longer gamble with their own destiny and future.

He said he is running because he has ability, credibility, stamina and experience.

Obi boasted, “I am running for president because I am qualified and have the ability, credibility, commitment, stamina, governance experience and a proven track record. Most importantly, Nigerians can trust me.”
