Rivers State Gov. Nisom Waik has vowed to hunt down the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, the national chairman of the PDP, Euricia Ayo and some other party leaders outside the PDP.
Wike pledged to commission a road project in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, on Thursday.
Wake blamed the PDP’s loss in the just concluded presidential election on those he said refused to obey the PDP’s constitution. He promised to expel them from the party and begin the process of rebuilding it.
The governor called the move “the second phase of the war.”
According to him: “Those who left our party in 2014-2015, our party lost; they came back again, our party lost again.
They destroyed our party. We will drive them away from our party. They have no role to play for our party.”
Wake also criticized the PDP leadership for accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission chairman of not following election guidelines when they (the PDP) refused to follow the party’s constitution.
He also mocked the HDP leaders for organizing a protest against the Independent Electoral Commission, which called the party leaders “student unions”.
