What have I won in football – Scolari slams former Barcelona boss Enrique over the Brazilian job

Luis Felipe Scolari questioned Luis Enrique’s credentials to take over the vacant position in the senior Brazilian men’s national team.

Scolari wonders what titles the former Barcelona coach managed to add to his cabinet before thinking about coaching Brazil.

Enrique has been linked with a managerial role in Brazil in recent weeks as the Selecao look for a new coach.

The coach who took them to Qatar, Tite, left the post after failing to take the team beyond the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Enrique also managed to reach Spain to the round of 16 in Qatar, where it fell at the hands of Morocco.

He left the position as coach of the Spanish national team and has since been associated with work in Brazil.

But Scolari, who won the 2002 FIFA World Cup as Brazil’s coach, doesn’t think the Spaniard has what it takes to become Brazil’s coach.

“What has he gained? It must have a performance. He is very good, but he has lost everything. What does it mean that he is good?” he told Sports.

Enrique’s three-year spell at Barcelona was particularly successful, as he won the treble in the 2014-15 season.
