The former President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Zamfara Alhaji Hamza Musa Mibulaos gave the reason for his resignation as the President of the Chamber.
Addressing some small and medium traders at the chamber’s headquarters in Gosau, the state capital, Hamza explained that he resigned from his post because he was pressured by politicians over a loan of 5 billion that had not yet been granted.
Mebulaos explained that the state government promised in July 2022 to give 5 billion naira as a loan that will be shared with the traders, saying that the money has not been released.
“The loan will be provided through the Chamber to beneficiaries in all 14 local government areas of the state.
“This loan will be given to those registered in the state Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture,” he said.
Mebolaos has accused some politicians of sabotaging his efforts over the matter in which he decided to resign in order to preserve his hard-earned reputation.
He added, “I have resigned from the presidency of the Zamfara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in view of the fact that some politicians have spoiled my efforts.”
