Sam Amadi, former chair of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has predicted that Nigerians may face harsher economic realities in 2023 as product prices continue to rise.
According to him, current prices for Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, better known as gasoline, and other products on the market point to a bleak economy in 2023.
Sam, the Arise TV analyst, made the comment Thursday in a tweet on his official Twitter account.
He wrote: “How many people know that in 2023 Nigerians will face harsher economic realities?
“People are grilling; Gasoline is sold for 400 per liter in most rural communities. Bottle of peanuts now N1, 200 from N400. minimum”.
