Laulu Akande, spokesperson for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, said the meeting between Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and All Progressives Council (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, was to exchange pleasantries in the spirit of the season.
Akande made this clarification in a tweet he posted on the verified handle.
It is reported that Osinbajo paid a visit to Tinubu, on Wednesday in Abuja.
Responding to queries and other political insinuations associated with the meeting, Akande said, “The Vice-President stopped by for a goodwill visit at Tinubu’s residence in Abuja.
At the meeting, the Vice President and Asiwaju exchanged pleasantries in the spirit of the season.
“In response to media inquiries as to whether this was a political meeting, it was not,” he said.
Wednesday’s meeting was the third between the two leaders since after the GPC presidential primaries in June.
