Former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, has named France as one of the favorite countries to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Wenger, who is now Director of Global Football Development at FIFA, has identified the key area he believes will be crucial for teams in the ongoing World Cup.
“Teams with better wingers have more chances of winning the World Cup,” Wenger said in an appearance published by the World Cup organizing body about its group stage data.
“Wings are the key; you have to get those players to take advantage of that area of the pitch.
“France is among them. It will be dangerous until the end.”
France have already qualified for the World Cup quarter-finals after beating Poland 3-1 on Sunday night.
