Former England coach Glenn Hoddle has named his favorite player to win the Golden Boot at the World Cup in Qatar.
The 2022 World Cup kicks off on Sunday, with host country Qatar taking on South American national team, Ecuador.
England will play in Group Two with Iran on Monday before facing neighboring Wales and then the United States.
Hoddle believes Tottenham striker, Harry Kane will grab individual hurdles if the Three Lions advance deep in the Championship.
“You know what, I’m going to be really positive here and I think if I really get into the championship I’ll go with Ken,” he told UK Metro.
He explained that while players such as Lionel Messi and Neymar hope to score from set-pieces, Kane will score from the play set.
And the former Tottenham player noted that Kane will not be short of supplies with the likes of James Maddison, Mason Mount, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Trent Alexander-Arnold on the pitch.
“He’ll get a lot of favors if we play it right,” he said.
Harry Kane has scored 12 goals in 16 Premier League games so far this season. This makes him the second top scorer in the Premier League so far behind Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
