World Cup: He’s in the good shape of his life – Jack Wilshere warns England about the France striker

Former Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere, warned England about his former Arsenal teammate Olivier Giroud who is “in the shape of his life” with France at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Giroud entered history in this year’s World Cup, becoming the historic scorer for France after its 3-0 victory over Poland in the round of 16 on Sunday.

The AC Milan forward, who was playing for Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League, has scored three goals for France in four matches so far in Qatar.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s World Cup quarter-final against France, Wilshere told The Sun, “How about my Arsenal team-mate Olivier Giroud.

If anything, the AC Milan forward has improved since moving to Italy and leaving the Premier League behind, as he struggled for a starting place.

“He’s in his mid-30s, but he’s in the form of his life and his finish for the first goal against Poland was fantastic.”
