World Cup: The Super Eagles would have been embarrassed – politically

Samson Siasia, the former coach of the Super Eagles team, believes that the Super Eagles would have been put to shame in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Super Eagles failed to qualify for the Global Football Festival after losing to perennial rivals, the Black Stars from Ghana in the qualifiers.

Morocco’s Atlas Lions made history in the competition by becoming the first African team to reach the semi-finals.

The current African champions, Teranga Lions of Senegal, qualified for the second round.

Although Cameroon and Tunisia failed to pass the group stage, they did record victories over two former champions, Brazil and France.

And Siasia rejected the talks that the Eagles could have performed well if they had qualified for the World Cup.

“We would have been embarrassed by the shocking results of the World Cup,” Siasya told Football Live.

“The Super Eagles have no interest in going to the World Cup and losing to the Ghanaian team we played against is proof enough.”
