Bukayo Saka, the English winger, revealed what his team should do against France when the two teams meet in the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
England and France will face each other in the quarter-finals this weekend after beating Senegal and Poland in the World Cup Round of 16.
And Saka wants the Three Lions to be at their best if they want to beat France in the quarter-finals at Al Bayt Stadium.
According to him, Gareth Southgate’s team should not stress too much against France.
“Now, of course, we have to believe we can win the World Cup. Now, our focus is on the next match, France,” Saka said in his post-match press conference.
“I think it’s about finding the right balance because, obviously, it’s not just a normal game. It’s a World Cup quarter-final game. At the same time, you need to prepare and do the same things in the usual way so you don’t overthink and become too tense.”
He added, “It’s been a great experience so far, to achieve what I have and help my team achieve the goals I’ve scored is a really great feeling.”
