Zamfara State Police Command revealed that its personnel have rescued 15 kidnap victims who were kidnapped by the kidnappers along the Gusau-Tsafi road in the state.
This was stated by the command spokesman, S.P. Shehu Muhammad, to reporters, during a press conference, said that the abductees were kidnapped on Monday.
He explained that “the kidnappers abandoned the victims, considering tension by the search and rescue personnel in the command, as the thieves team faced fire in an operation in their hideouts, where the victims were rescued.”
The Post daily reported that the rescued victims included seven women, six men and two children.
According to the command’s spokesperson, the victims have been interrogated by Police Commissioner Mr. Kolo Yusuf and have been medically examined by the police medical team and will be handed over to their families.
